I adore grocery stores, supermarkets...being in a food-related place with so many things to explore is my Happy Place. Where's yours?

Guys seem to love electronic thingies and gadgets and thingamabob and dohickeys with bells and whistles and all kinds of sounds. Some gals do too. For me? Take me to a new grocery store to which I've never been before and I will always perk right up and start searching for that one wondrous thing I've never seen before. Like clockwork (if the clock works). Predictable. Sure thing.

Three places Rosie all quite the oppersite ....Shoe Shops are like a drug to me Book shops that are educational and tool shops ....My dad has a fetish of/for expensive well designed tool of all descriptions...As a child he would take me with him and I up use to study him drooling ove them with such enthusiasm...he would always explain the pros and cons about them and the quality of the materials they are made from...
I have my own now and have such a vast understanding of most things because of my dad and both grand fathers...
Im treated as/ like one of the lads when I'm with my dads work mates   Lol

Hi honey! Well I also love stores that sell things having to do with cooking. We have an outlet mall in a town about 25 miles away named CABAZON and one of the stores is LE CREUSET. It's a very expensive and excellent line of pots and pans and something I could not afford in a retail store full price. But at the outlet mall things are regularly half rice and even then further discounts can be taken from time to time. Now sometimes or maybe often they are "seconds". The color may be a bit off or perhaps there is a chip. But also equally often they are not seconds they are just things that are not selling as well. So I have a fine assortment of different shapes and sizes of Le Creuset cookware that I treated myself to over a few months years ago. They still look BRAND NEW! I also loved meandering through bookstores but I've had surgery on both eyes and so reading isn't as pleasurable as it used to be. Clothes and shoes bore me. I can understand your appreciation for tools since you've worked by your dad's side on projects that "ordinary" gals never get to do. There are some shows here where women star and all about construction and building and they are quite impressive with their use of tools. Thank you for your thoughtful reply D and Happy Monday to thee! :) This post was edited by RosieG at December 16, 2019 5:18 AM MST

There are discount stores in England that sell that cookware cheap to Rosie...to be honest ,I can't see any coulour changes in them and they do exacty what they were made for still.
The women that do Tv shows about cars and tools I don't think have any knowldged first hand about what there are talking about....
They are just made for tv shows and everything is scripted...
I know from first hapnd experiences that it rare to get the shots from first take....In so many cases ,I can tell they are trying to go from a script.....Guys with an avid intrest in their hobbies talk in such a different manner ..
Most I can't watch because I find them insulting or condescending....
People doing adverts to sell things are chosen for their looks and how they come across to the public...their knowledge on the subject rarely come into it....
Ive yet to see a female on tv talking about and showing the public how to use tools that to me looks believable...:(

For me it's definitely NOT a grocery store!  In fact, I dislike being in any kind of store (major stressors).  It may sound strange, but I also don't care for electronics, tools, cars, or sports (there goes my 'guy card').  My happy place is in the forest near a small babbling brook.  No people.  No noise.  No walls.
