What does it take to jingle your bells and make them tinkle? It's almost Christmas after-all!

  • Awesome gif.  Is that what you meant when you said you wanted me to erect a pole this year for Christmas?  Dude, I thought you meant something completely different.

    Pacobel.

or you might like this one by Edgar Allen Poe

Hear the sledges with the bells—
                     Silver bells!
What a world of merriment their melody foretells!
            How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,
In the icy air of night!
            While the stars that oversprinkle
All the heavens, seem to twinkle
               With a crystalline delight;
             Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the tintinabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells,
                   Bells, bells, bells—
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.

But a warning - like all by Poe, the remaining stanzas go through the wonderful to the death knell.

    !!!!!! that Poe poem!!!
    :)

    "The Bells"

I remember, as a 13 year old, I think, and my school teacher being so pleasantly surprised and impressed that I picked that poem by Poe to perform in front of the class. (We all had to pick something bu any author to recite/perform in front of the class.)

    :)

Oh my! It did not occur to me that someone would drop Poe on this ridiculous post. LOL
Good one, Bookworm. I was obsessed with Poe when I was a teen.
Growing up near Lowell, Massachusettes, one of my favorite watering holes was a frequent haunt of Edgar Allen's called "the Old Worthen".  It's quaint, rustic tavern.  Poe had carved his name on the table where he favored sitting.  The Worthen is now a historic site and the portion of table which his name is carved on hangs behind the bar beneath a glass case for all to enjoy.

Usually, in this case, I'd call out a few females on this very website about that little fantasy. However, I will refrain from that so as to not get any death threats from those same females.

    I know! Ha!
    :)

I admit it, yeah - - I find this guy incredibly hot! (Even when he's singing children's songs, ha! -- omg -- I'm so weird.)
Did you watch this particular video I posted? Ha! I've never quite seen the song sung this way but I can see children enjoying him.
    I noticed he's wearing a ring. Oh, well - - maybe he's taken.
    :)

I did watch it. It's hilarious

"Even when he's singing children's songs

There's nothing weird about that, Welby. I'm attracted to kind, sensitive miscreants like that myself. Hence Twinkle The Elf. LOL
I find something incredibly attractive about sensitive guys who are not afraid to show their love for animals and children. That is a true man
