If you have tried Oat “Milk”*, what do you think of it? I bought a half gallon of it this week.

*The folks in the dairy industry distain it being referred to as milk.

Not a fan.  I think it is way better for you than regular milk.  Hip hip hooray that you tried it.

The reason I was not a fan is my own fault. I picked up the wrong flavor.  I wanted just plain and I accidentally picked up a flavor that was like oatmeal cereal and it was GROSS.   I eat oatmeal with butter and salt and a very light dusting of sugar and this was just revolting with the cinnamon and sugar inserted.

So, it would be fine and creamy if not flavored.

My usual pick is Almond Milk and I get the dark chocolate.  It's good.  All by itself.  I used to love cashew milk but I have heard too many bad things about cashews/   I love them too much and they are toxic to the body.  They are not nuts even. They are seeds.  I never knew that and you have to heat them to even get them out of the hard shell or something.  Anyway I am boycotting cashews.  But cashew milk was my other option.

I'm with the dairy folks.  It's oat something other than milk.  Same goes for almond milk or any other non-milk milk.

Oats don't lactate.  Therefore, you cannot milk them.
