They want a wall. They want closed borders. They want immigration banning. They want to deport those here illegally. They expect the prez to provide them with jobs. So how are they any different from those who want government to help its citizens? How much is what they want from that kind of government going to cost versus the kind of government they say they decry/despise?
The Program to help fund Mexico to protect it's southern border was started in 2007 and was funded by the Bush Administration..........The phone program was in effect before Obama got into office ! This program was Started under the Administration Of George W Bush... ( Sorry)..... Obviously you've been drinking that Right Wing Kool- Aid.
Medicaid is jointly funded by states. Medicare is funded by payroll deductions, with matching amounts from employers, Federal general revenue (because the Congress approved spending the fund for other uses back in the late 60s), and premiums paid by the beneficiaries.
LOL - looks like YOU are the one drinking the kool-aid. The Secure Fence Act, passed in October of 2006 was to fund a fence between the US and Mexico. That's the Mexican NORTHERN border, not their southern one with Guatemala.
Subsidized land-lines for the low income began over 2 decades ago, though many states had programs in place before that. The adding of cell phones to that program didn't happen until 2009.
In 2007 , the" Merida Initiative" was signed by George W Bush and Mexican officials . This authorized DHS to enter into a program with Mexico to secure Mexico's southern border..... Your reference to Obama building a wall is simply a continuation of the program. The $75 million figure is enough to fund the US Border Patrol for about 48 minutes !... The telecommunications act of 2005 opened the door for free cell phones for low income/ disabled citizens.
How about Medicare ?
It's right there, in my post above, how its paid for. I'll also point out that those not in government service are almost forced to sign up for medicare at 65. If they don't, they are penalized with higher premiums for each year they wait.
