Partial conversations do not reflect the truth. For example "Yes, I beat my wife" is NOT the same as "Yes, I beat my wife at Scrabble for the first time ever"! Is it?

Do you stop listening when you find what you are looking for or do you continue listening to the entire conversation before you attack/accuse? Some have short attention spans and can only focus for a brief period of time. They miss out on a lot. The truth is often in the rest of the conversation that they didn't take  the time to listen to. They skim the foam off the surface and think that's all there is.
