I’m not going in that water for love nor money!  They can say whatever they want to about me!

Google 'polar bear swim'  you will find images showing all the fun people are having in the ice cold water.

Just because they are enjoying it doesn’t mean everyone will, nor does it coax me into trying it. Theoretically, one can observe others having fun doing something but it isn’t a guarantee that it convinces reciprocation.

  • By that point Halloween has come and gone.  Thanksgiving has come and gone.  Christmas and New Year's have come and gone.  The pleasant distractions of the holidays are over.  Winter is firmly in place.  Seasonal Affective Disorder creeps in.  And thanks to holiday carb-loading I am sporting my Winter weight.  LOL!  When January arrives I know I am in it for the long haul.  So I find myself praying for Spring to come quickly and that I may have the strength in the meantime to hold on until I hear the sweet song of the new birds and witness the first bloom of the Daffodils and the Redbud trees.  I don't deal well with the cold, the ineffective winter light, the ice, or the snow.  I stand in the open air, look to the frozen sky for comfort, offer a twinkish wink and a smile to Old-Man-Winter, and wait longingly for the warmth of the sun.  BRRR!
