Did you lose your faith in God? Does your conscience always get you down ?

Of course.  That is the purpose OF the conscience.  When we feel "down" it is time to get into the pain of it and see why we are not connected.  The feeling of hopelessness and fear has to be endured so we long for the answer.

For me the answer is always:  When was the last time I took the time to really talk to God?  How long did I pursue this exercise?   When I get too far from the practice of just really slowing down and doing what worked for me in the past, I get lost.   Getting lost for me is as easy as not really focusing on the spiritual for a few days in a row.  So, I understand the pain and the grief and the agony of feeling like you are bereft of anything as important as God actually existing but He is here.

You have felt Him before and you will feel Him again.  Let Him in and trust Him.   You take one step towards Him and He will take 10 towards you.

    He will and He has.

    You totally matter.

Never believed in any God(s) and thereby never had a faith in such.

For some reason, editing the Bromide picture eliminates the glitter effect.

    'Tis a puzzlement...:-/

I'll tell you when I get to the computer club.   I have Windows 10 intro on  September 28.  LOL  I have computer 101 on Oct 3.

I have how to operate an Android phone at 9 today.   There is no stopping me now.  In a month or two I will know everything.

  • Yes, when I was 7 years old.

My conscience doesn't bother me except every now and then for a few things I did a long time ago.

If there's meant to be a correlation between the two, I don't recognise it.

I am merely channeling the questions of Roland Orzibal. I had no larger purpose other than to see how people would answer.

Hijacking the answer for a minute.... that is not your conscience in the sense that it is a guilt-o-meter.  Conscience is being.   Period;  and, the key point is being aware of what that is.  What we are.  We are always in conscience, Mr. W.   But we are so ill mentally, we are totally divorced from this concept.

Both words have to do with the mind, but it's more important to be conscious, or awake, than conscience, or aware of right and wrong. Remain conscious while listening to your friend's moral dilemma so you can use your conscience to give good advice.

Conscious, pronounced "KAHN-shuhs," means being aware of yourself or the world around you. It also means being sensitive to something or being awake, not asleep or insensible:

Witnesses say he was bleeding profusely but conscious and talking. (Washington Post)

He was even horribly conscious of a slow pallor creeping over his face. (Bertram Mitford)

Conscience, pronounced "KAHN-shuhns," is a moral understanding, an inner feeling, of right and wrong. If you were a cartoon, your conscience would be that little angel on your shoulder, telling you the right thing to do (and to ignore the little devil on the other side). See the word in action:

They went out guiltily, as men whose consciences troubled them. (Richard Marsh)

  • You need a program with an animated gif editor. Otherwise it just saves it as a "flat" file.

  • Try GIMP.  It's on par with Adobe Photoshop and 100% free.

Thanks. I do, in fact, sometimes use GIMP. But I've never had any formal training so I find the interface kludgy. For simple picture alterations (e.g. adding text), I prefer using an easier program.
