Yes. It is supposed to deeply cleanse your skin. I thought it odd as well to rub something already dirty on your skin. I guess the trick is to rub coals on yourself and frantically try to get it off. I learned to do this trick as a kid. I should not have spent money on it. Big Winks and Smiles. Not one of my wiser moves. Thanks Randy D! :) :)!
I have used charcoal infused bath soap, bar soap and even toothpaste. I have always been able to rinse it off. I personally do not see the big deal but a couple of my kids swear by them.
I do not think you are supposed to use plain charcoal, lol.
I am the nerd who bought a whole tub of it for a big chunk of change. Big mistake. I couldn't get it off for days. You're right though. Many people swear by it. I guess mine was a little too much. I bought one of those charcoal toothbrushes at the dollar store just to try it out. Don about died. I didn't see any difference in my teeth. Don tossed his in the trash. Thanks my2cents! :) :)!

I bought a whole tub of it and used it once. The key word is once. The tub is still full. It took days to come off. I don't recommend anyone using it unless you talk to a dermatologist first.
That wasn't me! I'm sure!! My tub isn't that deep and my tile isn't so clean. My ring was black! One would think I rubbed all my indigenous qualities right off me.
I just caught it. Noooo. Silly!! Not the sort of tub I am envisioning in my other reply. A BIG BLACK TUB You buy from those swanky, facial-place, thingys, boo-bop places!
