Is Martha McSally a GOP hack? She acts like a political hack. She is in a tough re-election and her opponent is going to show her videos.

  • She was certainly rude to a CNN reporter who asked her a simple question, calling him a "liberal hack".  She was subsequently asked the same question on FOX when she said so many reporters are "biased" so she isn't going to answer.  Gee, sounds like unless someone's on your side, you can ignore them.  That really comes from the top dog!  Pitiful.

---a politician who belongs to a small clique that controls a political party for private rather than public ends

Why don't they just say 'insider?'

Well political hack has a specific definition---and insiders are not necessarily acting only for private rather than public ends.

They just are "in the know.".

Insider---someone who is an accepted member of a group and who therefore has special or secret knowledge or influence

Could we consider someone who wasn’t actually elected to the seat they hold, a hack?

McSally for all her pompous bluster, LOST her re-election to the House, then was appointed by the Rep Governor to fill out the term of retiring Sen Jon Kyl.

I.e., she has no electoral mandate to even have an opinion. She is NOT the chosen voice of her constituents. Hack.

To be a hack means a person is not very good at what they do.

McSally is GOP. The left seems tp not like her. Which leads me to believe she is good at what she is doing.  So no, she is not a hack.

Premise one:  Martha is a hack.

To debunk you retort with:  the left, having poor judgment, (har har har) is reason enough to think she is competent.

Well, I have news for you.   She is a political hack.  She did this at the behest of insulting a CNN reporter which will give Donald T a woodie.  And there was ZERO reason to splash this as a headline unless you are dying in the polls.  She was before she even entered the Senate in the first place.   HACK.

If she wins then she will be proven not a hack.  Personally, I have only heard good things about her. Of course, my good amd the left's good are different things. This post was edited by my2cents at January 20, 2020 6:04 PM MST

Someone might observe that yours and my reasoning processes are also different things---but they could also observe that we are apparently different physically as well.

So I guess observing differences are not always useful to a discussion.
