Why didn't the founding fathers include "AN IMPEACHED PRESIDENT MAY NOT RUN FOR RE-ELECTION." ?

Was it because they never figured on people being so vapid vacuous and dumb they'd re-elect an imperfect impudent  impertinent impotent imperious imbecilic immodest immoral IMPEACHED former president? Did they give people more credit than they deserve? Was the imagination of the founding fathers so limited and narrow it could not conceive of such a situation in fantasy let alone reality?

    First, President Trump hasn't been impeached. Second, under Senate rules, a vote to convict and impeach a president automatically removes him from office, but does not automatically bar them from holding office again. The Constitution states, "Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States.” 

    However, the Senate has traditionally separated the two punishments. In other words, should the Senate vote to convict a president, which takes a two-thirds majority, they would then have to vote again on whether to bar him or her from holding office, which takes only a simple majority.

     Third, America’s Founders did not provide for impeachment as a partisan political weapon or as a response by Congress to a President’s policies with which they disagree. It is paramount that a presidential impeachment is fair, legitimate, and minimize partisanship.
