  • That success is always equated with money.   I guess it all depends on someone's definition of what being successful is.

    I think the biggest misconception people have is that it's somehow directly tied to one's moral virtue, hard work, decision-making, and the like.

    The evidence of history strongly suggests some behaviors can bias outcomes towards success, but it is ultimately the product of a great deal of randomness.
