    Never had to go to a machine.  Back then, Elmer,  at the Pool Hall would sell them to us teens.

    There are gun dealers, just as there are drug dealers.  And you can probably use one to find the other.  For some reason they don't advertise, and probably operate a mobile operation out of the trunk of their car.  Also, no refunds.

    Flipper":  Are they replacing it with another nearby?  Or just getting out of the library business altogether?  O know I would be really upset were my city doing that.

    Just finished "In Harm's Way" and accounting of the last days of the USS Indianapolis which was sunk just weeks before the end of WWII.  Due to bureaucratic inertia and (IMHO) incompetence by the Navy,vno one knew itvhas been sunk, much less wer...  moreJust finished "In Harm's Way" and accounting of the last days of the USS Indianapolis which was sunk just weeks before the end of WWII.  Due to bureaucratic inertia and (IMHO) incompetence by the Navy,vno one knew itvhas been sunk, much less were it was or where it was supposed to be   The crew survived a week in the water with no water, no food, life jackets becoming waterlogged and ferocious shark attacks.  Now beginning "The Seascape Tattoo", which is a fantasy novel.
