Life goes on, with people eating, drinking, getting married, and raising families. Even if Jesus is present, he will not execute judgment in my day.’ How wrong they are! If they do not die from other causes in the meantime, the fear-inspiring day of Jehovah will definitely overtake them, just as cataclysmic destruction in the Flood brought an end to a wicked generation in Noah’s day.—Matthew 24:34.

The last days is refering to all of us,and we are living in the last days.
Some people claim that God is using pandemics and other sicknesses to punish people today. For one thing, some of God’s worshippers—both past and present—have been plagued with sickness. (1 Timothy 5:23)
However, the Bible teaches that God’s time to punish the wicked has not yet arrived. But there will come a time when God will put things on the earth right.  That is what we are told to pray for (Matthew 6 v 9 & 10)
Because all the things you see happening on the earth are due to man's doing.  The pollution, wars, crime, poverty, earthquakes, etc. etc. and until  you realise this you will not get anywhere (Jeremiah 10:23)  less

Spreader replied to What Does the Bible Say About Pandemics?:
The Bible does not foretell specific pandemics or diseases, such as COVID-19, AIDS, or the Spanish flu. But it does foretell (pestilences” and “deadly plague)
All these events are part of the sign of “the last days,(Matthew 24:3)

The things done were foolish because they were not the things which God’s Word tells Christians who are facing the real end to do. The subject of the end of the world is not a crazy, crackbrained idea meant for only religious fanatics to snap up, resulting in silly conduct that brings the jeers of the world. The end of the world is scientific. It does not spell the destruction of God’s material universe which he spent measureless time to bring to glorious existence. Since “the heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork”, why should he destroy these scientific marvels? He will not do so. Let us rid the doctrine of the end of the world from the silly, unscriptural ...    less

Man himself is born for trouble.” So said Eliphaz to Job about four thousand years ago. (Job 5:7) Your life is probably not nearly as tragic as Job’s. But no doubt you have your fair share of problems.
But one of the trials that Job was forced to endure was economic deprivation and illness he had , as his example shows, endurance is called for in every aspect of life.
Yet Some Christians must endure persecution; others, temptation; still others, less-than-ideal economic conditions. But endurance of every kind will be rewarded, as the Christian disciple James wrote in reference to Job: “We pronounce happy those who have endured.”—James 5:11.  less

Do you desire good health and long life for yourself and your loved ones? Do you long to see wickedness and suffering end? Good honest-hearted people  wants these things. But today, in all parts of the earth, violence, crime, hunger and sickness are increasing.
Why is the world so filled with trouble? What does it all mean? Is there any sound reason to believe that conditions will really get better in our lifetime.
