ARE MOTHS INSANE?

I often wonder why moths come out at night.
Then proceed to go searching for some light.
It would be easier if they would awake in the day.
But for reasons unknown they prefer the hard way.
In the daytime there is light just about everywhere.
But I guess the moth figures that is just not fair.
They must enjoy the thrill of the chase.
Or they would be out when light. was every place.
Could be they feel light is something they should earn.
Or could it be that they have a fear they will burn.
I'd like to tell them how they could have more fun.
Just stay in a t night and come out in the sun.
Some how I know they wouldn't listen if they could.
As the moths feel they are doing a they should.
I reckon moths have done this since the first one came.
And they want to keep the tradition so they do the same.
So moths will keep coming to the porch and banging on the window pane.
And I'll keep thinking their actions seem insane.'
I guess I realize this is what a moth is supposed to do
And despite the moths actions they'll continue to pull through.
