You lie to cover your a** because you know you did wrong and are too chicken to own up to it. When you lie to save someone from pain..especially someone you love...I think it's not reprehensible. Truth is better mostly. Kindness is better still.

America is a RACIST COUNTRY and it finally has a prez it deserves. Anyone with an ounce of decency working for Trump should quit. There is no justifying what he said or alternative facting it or making it OK. We shall see if there is anyone out there who will stand up, speak up, shout out and challenge him on his views. At least he was honest. He completely undid what he had said the day before which was clearly forced on him and not what he wanted to say. So he did what he always does. Undermines/sabotages/embarrasses/defies/ridicules/demeans. He is very good at that. less
