Ever hear of an internet site called Amirite? A RosieG joined it. Not this RosieG. Could there be two of us? Geez. How?

I never heard of it before. That's a wonderful site.

I've heard of it and have some friends on there who are really nice.  Why other's do that is beyond my understanding. I've used the same name on 3 sites so far. I have no reason to change it for any other site.

There are some bad eggs on that site who watch what we do on here. And you must have said something they didn't like so they cloned you to make people think it was you on there.

We knew it wasn't you because they didn't have the intelligence or style that you do.

What do you suppose brought that on Boz?

Like Rosie G is some unusual name?  Ever consider that no one ever heard of you and that is THEIR name?

I'm sure there is a Sharonna out there somewhere that is almost as nuts as I am, so there has to be a LOT of Rosies out there that are as political as you.  You need to get out more girl.

You are a very active member here and your name was probably there for the grabbing.  I don't pretend to know the motivation on why some idiot would think it's funny to take your name and use it over there.  

The few members that are presently here that also have a membership there are really decent people, so you never have to worry that any false account would ever get too far.

I've has MY name mentioned on there with not so flattering comments.  I HAD been invited there before, but never accepted the invite.  Yet, I did see my name called out while I was in the hospital in ICU.

Didn't bother me because I thought it was funny that I along with a few of my friends were named in a poll WHILE I was on a respirator.  I've never joined although some friends are there.

I'm too busy to do that.

They've definitely used my name 5 or 10 times. It's what they do. They are professional trolls. That site is full of them. We knew it wasn't RosieG, no matter what some people say. We also know they meant for people to think it was this RosieG.

Like you and some others, my name has been thrown around for a year and a half on a site I don't use.  Of course I get the grudge started in a place before that one.

I never knew I had that sort of power over people's minds.

That is a damn shame.  It used to really bother me, but not any more.

I thought it was a newly discovered mineral. If someone wants to use my name I would consider it a compliment. I will never know, of course.

I know that my friend and I appreciate your saying that. The thing is I did not even know such a site existed. I don't know how many internet social sites there are but I am currently an  Answermugger ONLY, formerly an Answerbagger ONLY but the site folded as many of you know so that's why I'm here. I suppose there could easily be another Rosie G authentically. Maybe more than one.  I wonder what the odds are of my ever bumping into one? Thanks for letting me know about it PeaPod. Seriously? So it's something we live with...it's part of the internet social site experience? At least it's just a name. I had my identity stolen for real years ago and boy was it ever a mess getting it straightened out/stopped! The person using my name stiffed merchants for over $900 worth of goods. I was never on the hook financially for any of it after I proved it wasn't me. I hope they caught the thief. The difficulty was getting it straightened out with the credit report companies. As I recall there were 3 of them. I emailed them and talked on the phone to them and had to send them copies of the police report. It took months to unscramble the mess on that end. I guess the  merchants who were cheated/stiffed wrote it off. It was all my fault. I was the one who did it to myself.  I threw away blank checks on an account that had been closed for about 8 years. I didn't shred them. They were in a closed trash bag. I didn't think that anyone would open trash bags and find anything useful. I was wrong. From the checks they got a fake driver's license and they were off and running. Now we shred everything with our address on it. I know I have friends (like you) and I also have folks who aren't remotely fond of me. But you? You are so likeable. How could you possibly offend anyone enough for him/her to use your name? I guess I will never understand some people PeaPod. Hard as I try it is now and always will remain a mystery. Those folks use so much effort and time and energy  to be obnoxious and harmful. Why? I guess that is the question isn't it? Why? :)

 It's no compliment to me Ele. I didn't know but an Answermug friend messaged me twice...once to call my attention to it and another to let me know the Amirite folks knew it wasn't me. I don't know them. Why they would know  me I have no idea. My name is my identity.  I stand behind everything I do/say and if there is flak because of it I accept it. But I'll be dam*ed if I'm going to accept flak because some stranger pretends to be me. There is no valid/positive/useful reason for someone to pretend to be me. I am  RosieG in real life. I was RosieG on Answerbag. I'm RosieG on Answermug. Because it's my name. Now I could call myself anything I guess and who would question it? Usually people pick celebrity names or use words that signify things that are precious to them. But to use a real-life non-celebrity person's name WITHOUT PERMISSION from that person is very disrespectful. Of course that's the  point. They dislike the person whose name they use and wish to cause harm. I guess some folks get off on doing things to harm others.  Thank you for your reply SA and Happy Friday! :)

First to let me know what was going on and then to let me know that it had been taken care of because the folks at Amirite knew it wasn't me. That's really creepy though. These poor souls have nothing better to do than to vent their rage at others behind their backs,.  They are too cowardly to face me directly and talk to me about whatever upsets them so they go elsewhere and  use my name to obviously harm me. The internet is a great gathering place for cowards isn't? Sadly. It is also fortunately a great place to meet some really nifty people like you. I guess we just have to take the bad with the good.
