Otherwise, the seriousness of the facts would be mundane. 
Your shoe on the other hand does bring a tickle of thought for him.  He might not venture the fun way of your shoe without losening up a bit and tell how it will wreck your spine when walking on such shoe, especially if you only wore one and not a pair.
