Ever have two or more "diseases" or "conditions" at one time? What if the protocols to treat them are at odds? Which do you treat?

I expect the most life-threatening one but what if they are equally life-threatening? What then?

Right now, arthritis and a broken bone with severe bruising and serious burns. Thankfully, the treatments don't clash.

Most treatments have alternatives, so always check with a doctor if treatments for concurrent conditions are contraindicated.

Broken bone R? You shared the terrible "burn" incident but did you mention 'broken"? I think it was your hand/thumb mostly vis a vis the burn wasn't it? Thank you for your reply. How is the pain level? Slim to none I hope! I have one main doc so whatever he prescribes should be safe.

Blast injury - burns, contusions to the hand and forearm, and a compound fracture of the right thumb (compound = the bone was exposed). Add to that the fact that I'm right-handed.
The thumb now gives me a constant dull ache (the wound has mostly healed), the adductor muscle st the base of the thumb and soft tissue in the heel of the hand still give me trouble. I'm taking pain meds and doing physio. I'm sure the therapist was trained by the Spanish Inquisition, she's a professional torturer (lol).

Geez R I'm sure sorry it is taking this long. I think all therapists are torturers. They push you beyond the pain repeatedly. As it happens that is usually what it takes to get better. It sucks I know but keep on keeping on. It sounds really really PAINFUL. Burns, contusions, fractures. What's left that you didn't already damage in that area? Hopefully this is IT forever more. Futurely and thereafter you won't ever again have to suffer any pain. I'd like to guarantee it but I am not all powerful. Look forward to the day the pain will be only a memory. Soon I hope. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday! :)
