Can you imagine the stupidity of hoarding toilet paper? People will starve to death because they spent all their money on TP. TP is not imported - we make it here ourselves, so no break in the supply chain.
My spouse went out yesterday in search of toilet paper. She couldn't find any. So I told her we can always clean up using 'Amish-style' (old wash cloths and water)
Classes (I teach) have moved online here, which is odd. I'm getting used to posting lessons online, but it's certainly not the same. Toilet paper is rare. My roommate and I are running out and we could not find any at our usual stores.
Not yet. The Health Department says that those under 19 are at a low risk. They do advise medically fragile students to stay home. We have only a few confirmed cases in the state, all of whom had traveled recently so there is no evidence of community spread. There is a significant downside to closing schools and at this point the situation does not warrant it.

There are two elementary schools that were shut down for two weeks for disinfecting because some of the people that were diagnosed with COVID-19 were parents of students at those schools.
Schools remain open here in Britain. There are a few recent examples of music festivals, cultural events and conferences being cancelled or postponed, but the overall feel is "business as usual". We are however one of the less severely infected countries in Europe, at least for the time being.
all schools are closed for at least a month, all public attractions, all bars and clubs, all gyms/fitness Centers across Canada, all movie theatres, and restaurants are take out only
