Since I can't do any music, it's lyrics for me.

Since I'm hungry, I'm going to choose tune.  You know... you can 'tune a fish', but you sure can't lyric one.

Since I can't sing...tunes. My favorite karaoke song is 'Jessica' by the Allman Brothers. No lyrics.

I saw your question here, and like that other movie/song question, I had no answer.

And, now, while considering an answer -- I kept/keep coming back to this piece of music for some reason -- it's so fascinating to me, partly because, to me, the lyrics themselves become the tune. A friend introduced me to this piece just several weeks ago and I fell in love with it immediately -- literally, within the opening moments.

'Allemande' from "Partita for Eight Voices" by Caroline Shaw

(I have a strong hunch this video may be 'unpostable' or whatever) -- I hope it posts.  :)

Tune, because so many of today's songsters are so bad that I can't understand most of the words.

Thank you. What about songs from previous eras?

I grew up in the 60s and I love the Golden Oldies music.  Those days, the tunes were good and you could understand most all of the lyrics.  Songs were shorter, so there was less repetition.  I heard something on the radio the other day and it was the same phrase "sung" over and over and over again for about a minute.  That's not music.
