the groups here mere echoing remnants of something long past?
To enter is like walking the cobwebbed halls of a sleeping palace - without the beautiful sleeping princess. Maybe she went off with someone who got here before me.
Could the groups be another fine idea that just couldn't cut the mustard?
Couldn't the site programming be made to at least erase any group that hasn't attracted a single Mugger, or has been dormant for at least a month (for instance)?
not to worry
the new site is any day...
Why don't you look for happiness elsewhere rather than showing up and trying to change things. Bye.
I'm afraid your comment is based on misconception.
Eh, groups can spring to life at any moment. Right now, it's difficult to track activity in them and search them. This will change with the revamp. In the past, I have removed groups that no longer contained active members, but I don't think it's right to remove content that I didn't put up. If nothing else, they're beautiful museums. But, really, if you become active in a group or start mentioning it to friends and in the Q&A, I bet it will come back to life. Like a beautiful old house that's been unlived in for years, give it a good dusting and open the windows. ;) If all else fails, throw a house party and welcome the neighbors.
Wow, you are such a poet. Is there a group for poets?
I generally don't complain about the way a free site is run. :-)
There's prolly a group for people who THINK they're poets. :-)
Free booze..........that's how you get 'em to come back. :)
Don't be afraid. You are incorrect and that doesn't scare me. :)
I like the idea of groups here, Pupoid. It's nice to be able to interact with like-minded people without being harassed by the trolls and bullies who plague the main pages.
I don't think it would be a good idea to erase any group that hasn't attracted a single Mugger or has been dormant for at least a month, because one never knows when someone might be attracted to them. Never destroy if you can possibly help it, that's my golden rule; hold onto it because you never know when you might find a use for it. I like the rest of this question though. Lol:)
