Extreme weather alerts were broadcast on TV several times last night (abandon tents and impermanent structures and seek shelter, or lie flat on low ground whilst protecting your head from flying debris - also to watch out for funnel clouds), but nothing totally deadly has occurred here so far. Although we are well away from the lake, the sound of waves crashing on the shore is predominant right now.
