My small and meek county has a mere 10 million humans that are registered.
I am not sure as to how many of those are infected or have died.
I do know there were 3,158 infected and 67 deaths throughout THE STATE of Califonia.
They say the number is doubling daily.
We can only go by the news reported to us.

346 confirmed cases as of Mar 26 346 (Out of 12K tested) . 2 deaths.
We have only just started seeing it here and the cases have been doubling every day. We are now on lock down and hope that it will slow it down.

Kirklees District (with almost exactly the same population as your county, 439,000 approx) had 20 recorded cases at the last count.

No deaths to my knowledge, but I haven't been reading the Huddersfield Daily Examiner this week, so it could have happened and I missed it, callous as that may sound.

A friend of mine told me he was aghast when his sister remarked to him that she was lucky to live in an area so little affected! - some people still don't seem to grasp that this is EVERYONE's problem.

My area, Tweed Valley, 8 cases, no deaths yet.

We started out with our federal Government taking only meddling precautions, but within four weeks it has escalated to almost total lock down everywhere. That happened yesterday.

Based on overseas patterns, if people obey the shutdown we can expect to see the peak of diagnosed cases in a fortnight, and after that a levelling off and a slow drop.
If people really do respect the rules, the intensive care units will not be overwhelmed, but only just.
All elective surgery has been postponed for the duration of the pandemic.
All resources are being channeled towards the virus.

    My state of NSW;

    COVID-19 (Coronavirus) statistics

    27 March 2020

As at 8pm, Thursday 26 March 2020, an additional 186 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed, since 8pm 25 March, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in NSW to 1,405.

CasesCount Confirmed cases (incl. interstate residents in NSW health care facilities) 1,405 Cases tested and excluded 76,284 Total 77,689

There are currently 134 COVID-19 cases being treated in NSW, with 53 cases in our hospital wards, 62 cases being cared for with hospital in the home, 19 cases in our Intensive Care Units and, of those, 9 require ventilators at this stage.

What these figures reveal is that testing for COVID-19 is occurring at a significant rate across the state and we urge everyone to follow NSW Health advice about social distancing, personal hygiene and staying at home wherever possible.

Seven cases have been confirmed from a wedding in Bali on 21 March, two are NSW residents and five are interstate residents identified so far.

A doctor from Bathurst Base Hospital has tested positive for COVID-19. Investigations are ongoing and close contacts of the doctor are being informed. The doctor is now in isolation along with several other staff.

A one-year-old child confirmed yesterday to have COVID-19 attended a child care centre on the day before onset of symptoms. The centre will be closed while contact tracing is completed. The Public Health Unit is working to identify and notify contacts.

Two confirmed cases have been identified from a group of 100 Chilean navy personnel who have been in NSW since 1 March. They are self-isolating in hotels in Sydney. Investigations and contact tracing is underway.

The five passengers with symptoms on the Qantas charter flight from Honolulu that arrived in Sydney yesterday who were referred for COVID-19 testing were negative and have been returned to their hotel to continue their self-isolation.

The Department of Home Affairs is managing the daily needs of the passengers at the hotel and any bio-security measures are being managed by the Commonwealth.

NSW Health will assist should there be any further need for COVID-19 testing or medical care requiring transport to hospital.

There are 162 confirmed cases diagnosed in NSW who were on board the Ruby Princess. There are 41 confirmed cases from the Ovation of the Seas.

NSW Health now has information on its website showing COVID-19 statistics broken down by local health district and locally acquired cases by Local Government Area.

NSW Health is providing information to keep the community informed about COVID-19 while also protecting the privacy of patients. We will keep providing information to the people of NSW as it becomes available.

NSW Health is alerting passengers who were close contacts on flights to monitor for symptoms, and contact their GP, but call ahead first, or call healthdirect on 1800 022 222, or visit a NSW Health COVID-19 / Flu assessment clinic should they become unwell.

My county has three cases.  Two people are home quarantined and one (who came from Italy) is recovered I think.  Down south of us in Miami area is loaded up with it.
