'Birds are good parents'. BULLTWERP! Several species lay their eggs in other birds' nests, and sometimes will knock other birds eggs out to make room. Then the original nest builder raises the other chicks. Cowbirds and some Coo Coos will do this and I have found nests with two different types of eggs.
