If it was for personal I would, but it’s for work. Worst part is that my work phone extension is set up through my computer now on an app. So I can’t even freaking walk around and do stuff while in hold. I’m freaking chained to my lap top with stupid headphones. I really don’t like it. Also still holding and going on 45 minutes now ffs. Rant over lol.

Why not unplug your headphones and switch to the computer's speaker?

Because I’m an idiot -_- I need my headphones with mic to use the phone or people I’m talking with get background feed I was told, but yeah.. after an hour I realized I could just keep on speaker while on hold. My brain is broken today lol.

If you're o wi-fi, you should be able to use your headphones without being plugged in.

Well, that gives you an excuse to come here while not working because you are on hold.

I let that run about 10 times hoping for a different outcome.  I just realized it.  Laughing at me!

Back in the 90's, I had a phone solicitor call while I was with a customer at my business.  I told the caller to" hold on, I had a customer". I finished with the customer and grabbed the phone. The solicitor was STILL on the phone, and STILL talking  his sales talk. (30 minutes later!)

I tried to do Zoom customer service the other day and I was 500+ in the queue. I once waited more than 90 minutes for the Social Security office too.

Frustrating, if you need any zoom meeting tricks and Tips though... I’m a pro now lol. I didn’t even know what zoom was a month ago.

Thanks. :) I've been hosting webinars for work and one of our panelists was struggling to make a feature work right but we figured it out. I did not wait for the Zoom queue. lol

Don’t blame you on not waiting, Did you get an alert today from zoom about the Zoom bombs that have started happening recently? I guess people are hacking into zoom conferences and posting porn and other types of attacks. I have a zoom conference this afternoon so maybe I’ll see a bomb in action -_-

That was actually the first I'd heard of it. I guess it's more when people share the meeting invite publicly (thus allowing anyone to join) or share their generic meeting ID. I don't those are concerns for the way my company uses it, but when I saw people were doing this in classrooms... that makes me ill. Not cool.

I've been told that my call was in que and my wait time was three hours eleven minutes.  Yes, you read that correctly.  I hung up and called back and the time had increased by a few minutes.  I put it on speaker and played online until someone did actually answer.

Sometimes, they offer you the option of leaving your number and they will call you back.  That's what I do.

No, this was the benefits office at my company (the one from which I retired).....there is no one else to call and all insurance choices must be made before the end of open enrollment.  The website had crashed.  A lot of people went through this.

I'm sure phone lines and internet connections are all overwhelmed with so many people working from home or needing to do other things.  I the afternoon, when everyone in my office is on line, the system slows to a crawl and sometimes I don't know if it's just slow or I've been disconnected.  Very frustrating.  This is the first time I've ever had to work remotely and I don't like it.
