Well, the only reason I did is because it was a sentence beginner but you notice I didn't finish. Now you know that trump is sick and for his supporters you can tell go take another trump pill.

I forgot about that. I'm surprized he didn't make an executive order to make an exemption for himself.

    That $399,999 is a tax write-off.

And it is still taxed income that he has to claim.  It is a donation. Anyone else would be allowed to deduction it, why shouldn't President Trump be allowed to use the same tax laws as everyone else?

Under Trump's own tax law, there is a maximum you can deduct for charitable contributions and it's way under $399,000.00.  Besides, I'm sure you've heard him claim that he pays no taxes.

So it is not a tax deduction.

No, I have heard him say he does what he can to reduce his taxes. As we all do of course.  This post was edited by my2cents at April 3, 2020 11:50 AM MDT

No, it isn't a tax deduction for him because he is not eligible for the $1200 in the first place.

The question of deduction was about President Trump donating his salary to government. ($399,999.00/yr)   Not the $1200.

He cannot deduct the entire $399,000 as a charitable deduction.

Trump offered to be oversight manager for the  $2 trillion package. Pelosi immediately jumped up and yelled "THAT IS NOT GONNA HAPPEN, YOU CROOK!"

Trump is not getting anything even after his wealth tanked by about a billion$ according to the latest news.

No I think his check  will have way more zeroes. Trump wants to over see how that 2 trillion will be dished out so I think  he will  be scaming lots of money.  Cheers and happy weekend!
