Glory be! After five straight days of unremitting relentless rain the sun is shining! I forgot what sunshine looked like. How do you do it?

How do those of you who live where it rains a lot all the time come to terms with it? Day after day of gloomy wet stuff pouring from skies. No sun.

Happy sunshine day to those of you lucky enough to see the sun today! Enjoy it.

Ya it's always nice to see/feel the sun after lots of rain  -  it's looking like it will be a  sunny day here too. Cheers and happy weekend!

You simply live with it.  After the first few weeks of it some folks start to complain (especially the flatlanders), but most make the best of it.  After all, it doesn't really rain/snow 24/7 here from November through April. It just seems like it.

Once this patchy fog burns off, it'll be a bright sunny mild day here as well (looking at a high around 63 by afternoon).

Well I had one glorious day of sunshine yesterday Shuhak! All day long when I looked out side the sun was shining. As of yesterday no rain was predicted for the 8-day forecast. BUT this morning the 8-day forecast says it will rain today and tomorrow. So I am grateful for getting the respite. It cheered me up bigly. I wonder if humans can adapt to any circumstance? Thank you for your reply! :)

I live in Brit-land, we are famous for our rain and gloomy grey skies! And we do have periods where it seems to do nothing but rain.. It can get a bit tiresome.  And we did recently have some pretty nasty floods in the UK.
I try to remember that our ecosystem is geared up to need a lot of rain.. so it's necessary. In fact our weather pattern is changing.. more sun, hotter weather..  That can be seen as nice, but there are adverse consequences in terns of wildlife.

The plus side of that though is that I've read the ladies have flawless complexions due to all that moisture in the air. Flawless! I expect there is an upside to anything if you look for it! Thank you for your reply Addb! :)
