Awesome!  I'm going down and deleting my Human Touch.  I forgot you had already mentioned it. DA!!  Short-term memory loss in action!

I didn't mention "Human Touch." Your short-term memory might be fine - - there was nothing to forget as far as my mentioning that song, ha!

I’m the one who mentioned Rick Springfield’s song “Human Touch” in the original question.

    "Kiss the Ground"    Real Life

     . . . uh, wait . . . maybe that'd be OK  . . .

    ;)

I really like this song. For sure, R-rated -- or, at the least, PG-13   :)

I don't think I've heard anything by Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show, other than that Rolling Stone song!
This song you've posted is great! He has such a great voice!  Never noticed it in the Rolling Stone song, even though I like that Rolling Stone song, too. (And, "duh" on me -  had no idea he was so handsome, ha!!! My loss -- but it's never to late to notice!)

Merlin - - I've never heard this song -  I love it! This the second song in this thread that I've heard for the first time today - and I love both of them! Thanks!

And then there's Prince - - wow- - that guy is amazing.

Honey Dew, am I picking up an “our song” vibe here?  I can imagine you dedicating this to me . . .

    (I’m so happy, folks!)

I always liked that song when I was a kid. I used to have the old vinyl single. Another one of theirs I had was "I Remember Loving You", which was sadly not a hit. I don't know if you know this one, Welby, but my old vinyl collection used to look a bit like this.

Not many people have heard that one before. It came out in 1969 but I didn't hear it then because it wasn't on the radio (presumably because it wasn't in the charts). I discovered it years later by accident, it turned up on a market stall for 50p in 1988, so I chanced it and I liked it. It was a lucky find.

I kid you not, Randy D -- I put on one of my many CD's of this group a bit ago -- I needed to hear them today - -

    The Staple Singers

    and this song came on:

"Touch a Hand (Make a Friend"

I hadn't thought about this song in a long time  - The Staple Singers is another group to me that can literally do no wrong!

I consider myself incredibly blessed to have enjoyed this group for almost my entire life - - I heard them first when I was about 11 years old I think.
