Yes.  I believe that to be true.  The waves are probably bigger and better there, too.  They are anxious to lift UP and OUT of the surrounding water because it is so cold, they can barely stand themselves.
But see, here in California, we don't have as tall and ferocious waves, but longer running waves.  The warmth and sand seem to make them grand.  Besides, the women aren't always so covered.

This one thing Americans think about us that I do not understand lol. In my whole life I’ve never eaten or seen someone eat  peameal bacon ( what you all call Canadian bacon) it’s not even a thing here. People eat the same bacon you do. I don’t, Cos I don’t eat pigs, but normal Canadians do. 

I did not know y'all have real bacon.  But I still have have my biscuits and pork sausage gravy. 

Yes you do still have the biscuits and gravy Lol. but yes, we have same bacon as you. I think Americans  call peameal bacon “Canadian“ Cos it started here or something, but I’ve never seen it eaten here, ever. 

I don't know. But peameal bacon just not sound as good. :)
