Discussion»Questions»Beauty» Women, do you have a “librarian look” that you can adopt by pulling your hair back, wearing glasses, and dressing demurely? ~
Did until recently. Had chest-length, straight, brown hair. A few strands of grey grow near my temples. Used to wear it straight back in a high ponytail, plait or bun.
In January, I sat a 10-day meditation retreat. So I wouldn't have to waste time combing out tangles, I chopped it off to one inch all over. Suddenly my head was lighter and more comfortable. I've decided to stick with this new style.
I do wear glasses, very large, with transparent frames. Eyes grey. Skin would be white if I lived in England, but here it's honey-coloured, with plenty of wrinkles and sags.
My clothing has always been comfortable and self-covering - natural fabrics and mostly plain colours. Rarely wear things bright or patterned unless it's a festive occasion. Flat shoes, no make up.
I fit in very well in libraries.
How do you look?
