Furr's Cafe. The Central Louisiana Institute of Technology. Chester's Children's Wear. Dyke Leather Goods. Dahomo Korean Barbeque.


Can you think of any actual product name, slogan, or name of a business that had to be changed because in today's modern world it sounds, er, um, weird?  Funny?  Obscene?  Folger?

All of the examples I used existed at one time or another, either when I was a little kid growing up, or in my travels around the world throughout my lifetime.  To my knowledge, none of them retained those names.

    When I was growing up there was a department store called "Bratt & Dyke". Nowadays people would assume it was a store for lesbian single mothers.
