In THIS great democracy of ours, if the PEOPLE let their representatives pass tax laws that ALLOW the rich to pay NO taxes, then they ARE stupid.. What would you YOU call them?

The problem I see is that the representatives in Congress have won because the states have gerrymandered the voting districts and disenfranchised others, so they aren't represented. The ones that are in Congress have been bought and paid for by big corporations, so they work for them. Then there are the millions they are putting into ads, allowing the media to manufacture consent, so the public is misinformed. People aren't stupid. They can see their representatives are not working for them. I think that is why some of them have turned to Trump, hoping he will make things better, or at least as good as they were in the past, as coal miners. They can't see they are cutting their own nose to spite their face.
They can butcher their own faces as much as they want Marguerite. "It's no skin off my nose" as they say. HOWEVER what I object to is what they are doing to my face and the faces of others just like me. There are millions of them and they are all alike. I don't know if Trump has sprinkled them with evil fairy dust but nothing he says/does dissuades them from adoring him. That is a very sad thing to know objectively. Subjectively it is terrifying. How do you stop pols from kissing the a **es of the wealthy excon and passing laws to benefit them? I'd sure like to know. I expect it's as easy as stopping Trump worshippers from supporting him which is to say you don't. You point out the absurdity and dumbness inherent therein but that's all ya can do. You cannot vote FOR another citizen. You can only place your vote where you hope it will do the most good. I have no idea what passes for "thinking" in the brains of wealthy a** kissers or Trump supporters. They are a world unto their own and absolutely not for the likes of thee and me. Yes t'is true. The inmates are running the asylum and have been ever since Trump hijacked democracy in the good old US of A. I don't know what kind of fairy dust he used but it is lethal. I'm a deplorable because I don't have enough options to deduct from my taxes. Last year, I didn't make enough money to donate to the Metro Opera, The Mayo Clinic, The Museum of Natural History, a new wing for the local hospital, and have enough left over to hide in an offshore account. I'd rather call myself deplorable rather than stupid.
