Pope Francis. He is the pope of the Roman Catholic Church, a title he holds ex officio as Bishop of Rome, and Sovereign of the Vatican City. Vatican City is considered a country as it has it's own government and head of state.
I have many reasons for liking Pope Francis. Among them is his concern for the poor, the LGBTQ community, peace between religions, and the environment, as he recognizes our role in caring for the planet.
