I evaded Win 8 but now I have Win 10. It is fairly OK except that now everything have been hidden under yet another layer of redirects.

  • On the service desk side, we never let users talk to developers, aka programmers.
    Every issue:
    1. It's working as designed
    2. Just keep trying it'll fix itself
    3. Not our code, that's the vendor's issue
    4. User error

Well, I have done some programming, so I know that all of those statements are technically accurate. It's just that users don't want accuracy, they want sympathy.

    I kept being told that 'it's not a bug; it's a feature'.
