Coffee is obligatory regardless of the content of the rest of the meal.  :-)

I LOVE me some corned beef hash!  Roast beef hash is good, too, but corned beef is the bomb!

  • My usual breakfast is, basmati rice pilaf, sautéed greens, split pea soup- all homemade, bought flat bread and tea.

This morning was the alternative. Eggs with soy sausage, salmon, pintos and salsa.

Breakfast doesn't exist in my vocabulary. Since mornings don't.

Breakfast is breakfast...even if, for us, it isn't eaten until 12 or 1 PM. :-)

I like breakfast foods but I don't eat until I've been awake for several hours.  Sometimes I make eggs and grits and sometimes I  make a ham sandwich or have fruit with peanut butter.  Just depends on the mood. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at October 5, 2016 9:43 AM MDT

Dunno what you call it but somebody made a mixture of shredded potato baked with cheese,  onions, spices -was it ever a treat!

I change my breakfast menu every few months for variety.  Right now an orange,  Apple,  banana, raw broccoli and a couple boiled eggs.
A mug of green tea first.

In the south they call those hash browns. There's a Jewish dish, too, which sounds similar...ahh! Latkes!  (Potato pancakes)

Boil ramen normally. Strain and fry the noodles in a large skillet using veggie oil. While that cooks, mix the spice packet with one or two eggs. (Two eggs makes a large breakfast.) Pour the mixture on top of the noodles, add desired veggies, and flip. Top with longhorn cheddar cheese. (Sharp cheddar if that's all you can find.)

It would be either pancakes with maple syrup, or bacon.
