What is the most recent irrevocable or irreplaceable thing you got rid of unintentionally?

I inadvertently shut down my phone just after putting a phone number into it and I had  neither pressed dial nor saved it as a new contact.   The people who gave me the number left, they will be waiting for me to call, and based on my assurances that I would do it, they did not get my number. It was a chance meeting, I don’t know where they live or work, and I don’t have any other way to contact them.

    Darn.

Hang in there. I hope somehow it works out okay.

(And the only answer that was coming to me was phone-related, too. Though it's been quite a while ago (and I assume I've accidentally lost things since), I accidentally deleted a bunch of voice messages I had been saving because they were fun / funny / meaningful to me.)
