    Hello t:

Do you remember what it was like when the administrators NEVER fixed anything, and LIED to us about it??  We DON'T have that here.  We've got somebody at the helm DOING something to enhance our experience..  Execution is HARD.  Give her a break..

I agree.  She is taking a lot of grief without people realizing what it is to update a site.  My other half works in IT and I can tell you the hours to fix a small issue is mind boggling.  You would just have to see what goes into what she is trying to do to appreciate it.

  • I WAS In IT before I said F*** it and walked away...It's a real pain to implement a new system and an absolute that a segment of the community will not be happy.  I don't miss that at all

My husband has to be the most patient man on the planet.  He works from home on some days and I see what he goes through.  You get clients wanting things fixed yesterday and they do not get the work that goes into it.  It's rare he gets to bed before midnight.

  • Nice reply ... Maybe when the bugs are out we can buy JA a beer?

  • I disagree.  Having a reply tracker makes following along much easier than it was before.

  • I like this site much better. JA and the Dev put a lot of sweat into it.

I'm not fond of the briught-white background, but other than that...It's pretty good.
Like Glis said above, I'm especially fond of the notification tracker.

It's new. Give it some time

  • I'm with you on the white background.   I never liked that on pages, but it's become so in vogue across the social media page design the past couple of years I've gotten used to it.

Don't know if some people can grasp and appreciate how exhausting and time consuming writing codec for this kind of thing is.  Especially when  the person spearheading it is basically doing it on a hobby level. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 7, 2016 11:09 AM MDT

  • Nor do I see much difference in the layout of the questions page.

  • I've been  involved with many upgrades and migrations and it can be a nightmare.
As an X-Project Manager, I can tell you that even a person getting paid for their efforts reaches a level sometimes where they want to go Rambo on someone's ass.
    lol

  • Salaries aren;t what they used to be and I can tell you, in the US, that 150+ is way, way, way above the norm

My preference is the white background.  Too many times, you see black writing on a dark background and it can't be read.  I don't even try any longer - I just ignore.

ADDED:  Just noticed that there's a notification in the lower right hand corner of my screen that tells you who's on and who's off line.  It's gray letters on a dark background and not easily read. This post was edited by SpunkySenior at October 7, 2016 1:56 PM MDT

    The site isn't "white."

See the difference in my background color above? I can't go much darker or we won't be able to see the text easily and black screens can be even harder to read.

Spunky, please send me a screenshot. The chat now box is gray with white writing, so I'm not sure what you're looking at.
