I prefer the Spanish-language Salúd, which literally translates to "health". There is no religious denotation to it, just a genuine wish of well-being. Of course, I can't use it with those who aren't Spanish-speaking, and if I was just to exclaim "Health!" to a native English speaker, they probably wouldn't get it. So. US citizens get nothing from me, but maybe an "Excuse you."
