The pumpkins poll numbers are TANKING EVERYWHERE EVERY DAY. Wonder why he is sending mystery meat thugs into American cities? GUESS?

He thinks his poll numbers will shoot up SKY HIGH immediately by doing that.

Is he right?

Is THAT what it will take to do that? Invade American cities and teargas them rubber bullet them baton beat them? Impresses you bigly? Think it will impress "THEM"?

I've heard similar questions asked, a little more delicately, on the News over here; but not just about those incidents.

The common thread in the replies from the interviewed American journalists and academics, is the emotional "law and order" vote, with the hope that being seen to be acting tough, attracts votes.

" a little more delicately". Now that's SMOOTH. You make your point but draw no blood. I can live with that.

This law and order scheme is bogus of course. Pumpkin is the poster boy for lawless and chaos? His forte is starting fires and riling up the crowds and upending everything so it's quite hilarious on the surface and very scary elsewise. He panders to the Confederates(traitors), white racists and conspiracy theory tinfoil hat wearing underbelly of humanity. This latest thing with that voodoo doc who said THERE IS A CURE FOR THE VIRUS and MASKS ARE NOT NEEDED blew up in his face and last  I heard pumpkin boy was still defending her. She has said that alien DNA is used in medical treatments. Reptilians and aliens run the government.  That scientists are developing a vaccine to stop people from being religious. Illuminati are trying to destroy the world. Real solid science there. Dr. Stella Immanuel. Go figger! Pumpkin is a five-time fake bonespur draft dodger who sez he hates heroes. He went to military school so I expect that is why he said "I know more than the generals" a few years ago. That anyone treats him seriously is puzzling. Thank you for your reply Durdle. Do you have a comparable crackpot wackadoodlenoodle in your country's government? Did you ever?

Well, the BBC and other British broadcasters have to be accurate, fair, diplomatic and neutral when examining difficult political matters, especially of foreign  countries. (They are criticised for being biased but since that comes from Left and Right, they must be somewhere in the middle!)

That "the law and order scheme is bogus"  may well be so but the point made by the interviewees was that it is what he wants his followers to believe.

That so-called "voodoo-doc"... I don't know much about her but I gather she is a plain nuisance, however, is she really a doctor of medicine or does she just claim it?

I learnt something very interesting yesterday about people like her. I have no idea if Stella Immanual is one of its followers but out of nowhere has sprung this cult-like conspiracy-fantasy world calling itself QANON, with a motto in pretentiously poor English and a lurid red "Q" symbol; mainly hard-line Trump supporters but a loose framework around which its followers can construct their own versions of some extremely nasty accusations and forecast. The FBI lists it as a terrorist organisation; Twitter and Facebook are doing their best to keep it off their sites. Very strange.

I can's say we've had comparable crackpots. They are all only human though, with human strengths and weaknesses. Some, in all parties, have shown themselves fairly extreme or eccentric, some have shown themselves of little competence, some have proven highly controversial in various ways.

The way the British system works though is fairly self-moderating and you cannot go straight into the most senior levels let alone become Prime Minister, without a lot of previous Parliamentary experience. Even then you are still a Constituency Member of Parliament, representing your own voters.

You would not find a "celebrity" suddenly going from stage to Downing Street - but he or she would be entitled to enter politics at a lower level, and it has happened. Glenda Jackson for example was already a famous, award-winning actress before becoming a Labour MP for a constituency in London 1992, and was junior Transport Minister in Tony Blair's Government for two years. She stood down from politics in 2015, to return to acting. Really, a government in a democracy does need to draw on people from all walks of life - but not expect them to be Prime Ministers or Presidents straight away! So the process of working one's way up should curb excesses and impart at least some wisdom, and on the whole I think it does.

Kanye West as President of the USA? Well, whether you support him or not, let him prove his worth as a Representative and the US equivalent of a Minister first!

There are also strong constitutional barriers here, between the roles of Government, the Civil Service (which covers a huge range of work, it's not just so-called "Whitehall Mandarins") and the Judiciary. They may not be perfect and are sometimes under political attack, but they do exist and generally work.

Another very helpful informative and spot on reply to my question. I think America is the only country harboring crackpot wackadoodlenoodles in such gargantuan numbers. I have heard of QANON and all the other flaky queer peculiar weird groups who support pumpkin. Let's be real here. Who in his/her RIGHT MIND would support him? I rest my case. Now you Brits are very calm reserved and not usually given to hyperbole. Even though even so don't you think pumpkin is the most awfullest ignorant stupid "leader" ever? What has he done RIGHT? I'm just sayin'. Of course you can only observe at arm's length but you do listen you do read you do pay attention. That's a lot more than the adoring worshippers of pumpkin do. They are almost to a man/woman white racists who want to go back to slavery and wish they'd won the civil war. They have no use for the Constitution or Civil Rights or Love Thy Neighbor. NONE. SIGH. Thank you for always taking the time to share your observations. Methinks if you were an American Durdle you and I would be ON THE SAME PAGE ON THE SAME LINE AT THE SAME TIME most of the time. I don't have the benefit/luxury of distance that you have. I'm stuck smack dab in the middle. What things look like from inside out are not the same as from outside in! STAY SAFE! :)

Well if Trump sent in his goon police to get his poll numbers up he should of briefed then to not teargas any moms. Everbody has a mom so Trump lost a lot support  when his goons messed with the moms of America. Not so long ago I was thinking that Trump was dividing America but now I can see he is bringing America's together - coming together to get him out of office. Cheers!

Well the pumpkin brain is wired weird. When something doesn't work he always doubles down on it. Not the way a normal person would do things for sure. I like that "coming together" view m'dear. I think you're right. Of course it's still pretty far off and lots of time for him to mischief up more disinformation rigging colluding conspiring and floating lots more lies. He has tons of help from his adoring worshippers and toady sycophants. I think they live in a different part of our universe. The weird part. Bizarre. Thank you for your reply Nanoose and Happy Thursday. You and your family don't live in the middle of a huge city do you? Aren't you living where there are fewer people? That's always good. STAY SAFE! :)
