When trick or treating, did you ever receive something other than Halloween candy?

I once received a small orange toothbrush with green bristles. It had Happy Halloween, written in black on the handle. I think I was around 8 or so.

You are lucky! Especially about the bit of money and homemade baked good, as long as they were from safe people that is!

We were never allowed to eat anything that wasn't wrapped (in case it contained a razor blade).

Same here, for safety, Some not so good people. However, they can still make it look untouched and make it looknever unwrapped. Just need to be cautious. This post was edited by Nightwolf5 at August 10, 2020 7:56 AM MDT

  • I have my kids convinced that Reese's Peanut Butter Cups always have razor blades in them.

Getting a few cents here and there was never a big deal. Seldom was it even ten cents or more at a time.

Ah, I do understand, but even the little stuff adds up to bigger stuff if you keep saving it. :)
