  • I've seen someone put ketchup on pizza before.  People are just awful with their condiments sometimes.

The only thing that should go on fried potatoes is cheese curds and/ or Gravy and or Mayonnaise...  you have a problem with that?

lol, that’s funny. ketchup on potatoes is as weird to me as gravy on fries is to you I guess. it’s just normal here. I also do know that in US some of your gravy is white and has meat or sausage in it... that’s so weird to me lol.

  • Ohhh yes....biscuits n' gravy is kind of our thing down here in the south.  It's like having cement for breakfast.

I know, I had some people I worked with at my last job come here from Kansas City, Missouri. I had to entertain them a lot while they were in Canada with going out for meals and such. They told me all about American gravy and they also told me how porkis a thing there Lol. They would would ask me why pork never on menus in our restaurants.... ummmm cos it’s dead pig...

  • Yes, there's lots of dead pig options here, lol.  And KC is like the BBQ capital of the world so I imagine they were shell shocked not seeing pork around.

They really were lol. I really enjoyed the few months I spent getting to know them though. I mean, even forums like this I feel like I get a glimpse into the subtle difference between Americas and Canadians..but my time with them i learned a lot. I really liked them. Gawd I wonder how they’re doing now. I should have added them o Facebook but I do t have it lol

  • You're missing out on all the fun though.  Political arguments between distant relatives.  People from high school wanting to be friends with you.

Poutine, love it.  Now unless one gets invited to Canada or goes to the UN Bazaar every year you never see cheesecurds here

Occasionally, but I generally avoid fried foods. Sometimes I will eat a sweet potato, but baked.

Probably for the best, but sometimes fried potatoes are too good to resist. :)
