I have come across cougers a few times. But once I was walking on a logging road at nigh and something in the tree line about 50 feet in front of me started making it clear that it didn't want me to go up the road any further. It made a howling sound and shook some fair size trees I tried going forward a couple times bur each time I did the howling and tree shaking got worse. I figure it was a Sasquatch. and if it was that would be the most dangerous thing I ever come across - sounded like a pretty powerfully thing that could of ripped my head off. Cheers!
