What was/is your favorite Halloween candy?

Well when I was a kid sometimes you would get homemade candy apples so those were my favorite. But that was back in the days when Halloween candy was safe - no razor blades in apples or poision in candy. Today at the store I noticed that they are already putting out Halloween stuff.  Cheers!

My mom wouldn't let us eat the apples. :( My favorite was Milk Duds, I still like them.

Candy corn (solid sugar!) and circus peanuts, of course.

I did not like candy corn then, but I do now. The circus peanuts are ok, but I only like them if they're a little stale.

For me, age brought wisdom but also, unfortunately, diabetes, so I can't go near that kind of stuff anymore.

Same here, Type II. I still indulge once in a while, I just have to make myself stop and half a bag. :) Just kidding, I'll eat a few and be done.

I don't eat halloween candies such as candy corn and those nasty cheap peanut butter chewies.  I like quality candy.  Any quality candy wrapped in a black/orange wrapper is still fine.

About the only ones I wouldn't eat are the ones with shredded coconut. ECK! I still don't like it.

Oh my goodness.  What a memory!!!  I loved these as a kid.  My kids liked them too.

I got a whole basket of those with banana Laffy Taffy and Monsters in a get well basket from my kids when I was in the hospital last year.  It got lots of attention LOL.

I liked the miniature 'Hershey's Special Dark' bars as a kid. Now that I've tasted quality dark chocolate, I don't think they're that great.

I'll take the Kitkats in that bowl if nobody else wants them.

Have you tried the dark chocolate with chili candy bar? I get them at Target, but they do sell them elsewhere. They are flat like a Hershey's bar and so delicious!

I can't handle much spice. I love the kind with caramel and sea salt most. Oh, and coffee. Like, dark chocolate espresso beans. YUM!

It's really not that spicy, just leaves a nice tingle on your taste buds. Anything coffee flavored is worth fighting for as well. :)

Hershey's is about as high quality you could expect at Halloween.

Halloween is the only time I eat candy, and I could eat a whole bag of these:

I love these too.  And the chocolate on a Heath bar is superior to the chocolate on other Hershey products.    I'm wondering if that was contracted by the family when they sold to Leaf, who then sold to Hershey.

These, when fresh and moist, are one of life's greatest pleasures.  ;)
