Isn’t it ironic that if Derek Chauvin were to face the death penalty*, a knee to the neck would be deemed cruel and unusual punishment?

 


*I am not saying that guilt or innocence has been legally established, nor that death penalty is or is not applicable in this case, nor that the death penalty is even in effect in Minnesota.

    No more ironic than all the Trumpicans saying "but Obama pardoned" X, Y and Z whenever anyone protests that His Royal Orangeness just pardoned three individuals convicted of war crimes by court martial. Obama never pardoned any war criminals and neither did anybody else, it's unprecedented.

    I know that I'm in the minority, but I truly don't believe in vengeance and anger and payback. I wouldn't want the responsibility or burden of dishing out punishment.
