Lock her up! Lock her up! If you LOVE your country, you DON'T threaten to lock up your political opponents. Why doesn't Trump know this?

Hello:

The smooth and peaceful transition of power is the HALLMARK of a modern democracy.  It's NOT just a nice thing to do.  It's ESSENTIAL to democracy..  Threatening to lock up your opposition THREATENS the democracy - NOT your opponent..  Why doesn't Donald Trump know that?  He doesn't love his country..  Looks to ME, like he HATES it.

So hillary should be given a free pass for crimes?  If she is found guilty should she not be punished?

While she has friends in the Prosecutor's office, she does have a free pass. They refuse to prosecute, so she won't be found guilty. Unless of course there's regime change... This post was edited by Malizz at October 11, 2016 8:06 AM MDT

    Hello IT:

There's BEEN investigations..  I dunno HOW you missed 'em.  Seems to ME, that with several congressional investigations, Inspector General investigations, FBI investigations, and NO charges EVER having been filed against her, is a pretty good indication that she's NOT guilty of criminal behavior..  She's NOT even SUSPECTED of criminal behavior by anybody in law enforcement..

Now, you can SAY it's because she has friends..  But, the FBI that I know, would have NO hesitation in locking her up IF there was a reason to..

Additionally, if she's guilty of federal crimes, she's ALSO guilty of state crimes, and there's LOTS of states with Republicans in TOTAL control..  Why don't any of these states file charges??  They're NOT her friends..

  • Whitewashes. Until there is anti establishment president who thoroughly cleans house, there will be no justice.

"Now, you can SAY it's because she has friends..  But, the FBI that I know, would have NO hesitation in locking her up IF there was a reason to.."

They'd do what their bosses tell them to do because the Clintons have got dirt on everyone.

The Clintons are major establishment figures. At the highest levels the democrats and republicans are one entity. At the lower levels Republicans don't have the balls because they know the highest levels of their party would destroy them. Anyone small and unknown is risking their life and family's lives to do anything. I am certain that if she did something criminally that could be proven, she would have gone down.  This is not to say that what she did was not questionable.

Let's all remember that the candidates for both parties are surrounded by lawyers that can keep them afloat.

At this point, we need to ask ourselves who can keep a level head when representing this country.  I think the choice is clear.

  • Nonsense! You have completely mischaracterised his remarks.

The malicious prosecution of a candidate to undermine democracy is what an incumbent does BEFORE an election to prevent the election happening, not what a newly elected president does AFTER the election. Trump is currently incapable of suppressing democracy because he doesn't have the power.

Hillary deserves to spend the rest of life in prison or be executed for high treason and numerous other crimes. Prosecuting her by due process of law is not suppressing opposition. It's justice. The only reason she isn't wearing an orange jumpsuit is because she has enough pull to escape justice.

He's doing exactly the right thing by telling her that he's coming for her legally. I want him to strike fear into her and all her co conspirators. I want every cockroach running back into the woodwork. I want that evil **** to know it's all over for her if she loses to maximise the stress she's under. Even if she wins and escapes justice, I want her to know that we know what a criminal POS she is. And what do you know that we don't know? Smh. Trump should be in prison for raping his ex wife. I think that disqualify him as a candidate, right? Guess his money has prevented him from doing jail time several times. What kind of arguing is this? Smh.

  • I don't believe that allegation. If you do believe it, by all means, call for his prosecution. (Even his ex wife doesn't believe that it was rape "in the criminal sense", whatever that means).

This question is not whether individuals are guilty or innocent. That is for a court of law to determine. This question is about whether it is seditious for Trump to threaten Hillary with prosecution. Obviously not.

Quite funny you should say this... I found a quote, do you have any qualified guess who said this?!

"Hillary deserves to spend the rest of life in prison or be executed for high treason and numerous other crimes."

Now, one more time... Do you have access to any classified files that you base your assumptions on?! Please drop this game, it doesn't suit you and honestly, it makes you look a bit double-tongued. After all it was the/your quote that inspired my reply for you. Tsk tsk.

  • Your reply is off topic and irrelevant. My beliefs are based off years of research into the many whistle blowers that have gone public about the Clintons. The case against the Clintons is very strong, but too detailed to discuss in this short comment.

Why do you act as if I need proof to have a belief? Of course the proof doesn't exist yet, because a proper investigation hasn't even happened yet. Proof is what an official investigation aims to find. Even if Trump's special prosecutor can't find proof and she has to go free, I'm still entitled to my opinions. I think she's guilty as sin. You can believe what you will.

  • No, you just don't understand my views. I presume you mean to imply that I'm violating the principle of innocent until proven guilty.

I believe that the STATE should follow the principle of innocent until proven guilty. It's better that guilty people go free than innocent people go to jail. Though I am not the state, and I will have whatever opinions I please. There is no contradiction.

Obviously he doesn't have an advisor in Constitutional Law.
    1. Constitutional law professor at Harvard Law School said many things about this on Twitter:
        A. Trump's pledge to investigate & jail Clinton is an abuse of power that will be "impeachable" offense.
        B. Trump would destroy the rule of law in America.
    2. Article in "The Week", by James Pethokowkis, Oct. 11, 2016: Trump suggests he would run roughshod over various political norms and Constitutional limits if he were president.
    3. Eric Holder, former AG, tweeted his opinion on this also:
        A. A few politicians who have jailed opponents: Putin, Erdogan, Chavez, Mugabe, Pinochet, Noriega.
        B. So @realDonaldTrump will order his AG to take certain actions---When Nixon tried that, his AG courageously resigned. Trump is dangerous/unfit.
    4. Yep, Trump is on Twitter constantly, but Twitter is eating him up and spitting him up. Republicans are dropping him like a hot potato.

He most likely has plenty of advisors, but he won't be listening to them.
