    He should send the BLM in and let them handle it properly.  Feds are in charge of roughly 19M acres.  State is responsible for roughly 13M acres.

    The Japanese used the wind to attempt to firebomb the coastal areas in the West USA---winds + balloons + incendiaries during WWII.

    Maybe some of them are doing some experimenting for a science project.

    Arson was, is and will continue to be a problem, but as last summer's devastating bushfires in Australia demonstrated, it isn't the biggest cause of wildfires and never really has been. You get people being careless with fire (tossing burning cigarettes out of cars, failing to fully extinguish campfires, acetylene welding in unsafe conditions etc), poorly maintained electrical transmission towers (and/or the cables they support) being brought down by high winds, dry lightning strikes - the biggest problem is that the forests are drying. Weather patterns are being distorted - by profligate dumping of carbon into the atmosphere.
