    I don't know.  I haven't worn socks and shoes together in  six years and I'm not sure what I used to do.  My gut is sock shoe, sock shoe but I just don't remember.  I think I did sock sock shoe shoe with my babies though. 

    Flip flops require no mentality at all....

    Sock, sock, TROUSERS, shoe, shoe. I hate having to roll the trouser legs up to pull my socks on properly.

      Good point.  That's also the military method I learned in the Marine Corps, and I have never abandoned its use even though I left the service years and years ago.
