If you’ve ever been stranded at the airport because the person who was supposed to pick you up didn’t show, how did you resolve it? ~

No, that has never happened to me...that I recall. 

Yes.  The person was an airport shuttle that I had arranged and paid for.  It was for a trip from the Atlanta airport to Birmingham.  I had just returned from the flights from hell from Europe.  I couldn't believe they weren't there.  I called Avis and ask they bring a car to me for one way to Birmingham.  It was expensive, but trust me, the airport shuttle company paid for it and more.  Their reason for leaving me behind was that another passenger who was a physician had an emergency call to get back to (Anniston I believe it was) about 30 minutes before my flight arrived (which was on time).  Oh boy.....I'm getting worked up just thinking about it!
