  • Yea that movie has way too much wetness.  I'm going to watch something with sunny skies.  Like The Sandlot.

The River  (early-mid 80's flick with Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek)

  • I've heard of it but have never seen it. I"ll keep it in mind for non-flood days.

    It's not terrible.

  • So I might not gouge out both eyes during the course of the movie?

Not exactly a ringing endorsement, I know.

I thought on it more, and it's pretty much a chick flick. Young Mel Gibson is probably the highlight.

It's most likely worth at least one eye-gouge.

  • I read the synopsis and it sounds like a pretty lackluster story with Mel Gibson just tossed in for curb appeal, lol.

Pretty much. Some nice scenery. (Landscape... not just young Mel.)

Anything with weird Al or Leslie whatever his name is or stuffed rodents could probably stop the floods, if that’s what you’re looking to do.
