Either philosophically, figuratively or literally, have you ever burned anyone? What was the outcome/aftermath?

    I may have done.. in my younger day there was no length I wouldn't go to to win... There's a possibility I may have inadvertently burned several back a while ago for other reasons.. And there's a slight possibility I have burned someone recently, but it was unintentional. 

    I think I have two problems in this
    a) I don't really know what burned means in terms of people
    b) Often we don't get to learn the outcome - they burned one disappears and we never get to find out what happened..

      a) burned can have a myriad of definitions, especially since I allowed for philosophical, figurative or literal connotations.  Cheating someone, cheating on someone, transmitting a sexual disease, setting someone on fire either intentionally or unintentionally, beating someone in a race or a game, prevailing over someone in any contest or competition, overpowering someone, making fun of a person, etc. are all some of the examples of burning people.

    Verbally, dozens of times - sometimes I just can't help myself, I'm a smartass.

    Literally, only myself. Most recently, a finger - I was taking a hot tray out of the oven and the towel slipped.
